LAURIE LAWSON, CEC

Laurie Lawson has a BA in Sociology from the University of Maryland and is a member of Mensa and Who's Who of American Women.  She’s a Professional Life Coach trained by the Institute for Professional Empowerment Coaching (IPEC), as well as a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF) and the International Virtual Woman's Chamber of Commerce.

She’s a published author (Working Woman magazine, Self magazine, Attitude Magazine, and Executive Female magazine), as well as an often-quoted Writer/Reviewer for Electronic Link Journey, an online travel and entertainment magazine.

Laurie is the creator and owner of  Empowered Life Journeys and  used her coaching abilities to develop two specialty programs:

The TO.T.A.L. Package - working with health-conscious people to help them design a happier, more fulfilled life, and

Kids in C.H.A.O.S. - Working with parents of children who are going through traumatic transitions.

She will proudly tell you that she is her own best client.  After creating The T.O.T.A.L. Package, she lost over 60 pounds, lowered her cholesterol to the point that she no longer has to take medication, put her blood pressure in the low-normal range, and is still going strong.  Kids in C.H.A.O.S. came about after a childhood that included five states, 18 schools, and the deaths of a father and step-father.

Today Laurie spends her time coaching people who desire a healthier, happier life.  She totally believes in the unlimited possibilities of every individual and wants to share the empowerment of life coaching with as many people as possible.  Life is a journey, not a destination.  She can help you enjoy the journey and pave your road with gold.  Take the trip, and the rewards will be beyond your imagination!

MICHELE LAUB, M.S.

Psychotherapist and Life Coach

Seminar Leader and Workshop Facilitator

Founder of Human Potential Unlimited, Inc.

For over twenty years, Michele Laub has been a High School and Middle School Guidance Counselor, psychotherapist, hypnotherapist, and life coach.  She holds Masters Degrees in Mental Health / School Counseling and English Education.  She received her coaching certification through the Institute for Life Coach Training, which trains therapists in the skills of life coaching.

Michele believes that the dynamics of group learning and individualized coaching are the most powerful methods to bring about change in people’s lives.  She leads parent groups in The Systematic Training for Effective Parenting and is a certified workshop facilitator for both The Four Agreements and The Power of Belief.

In her workshops programs and coaching practice, Michele illuminates the power we have to use intention to create our lives and achieve our unique potential.  Michele combines modern-day transformational psychology and spirituality with time-honored philosophical wisdom to help effect change in her client’s lives.  Utilizing communication skills and educational tools, Michele guides her clients to empower themselves as they meet life’s challenges.  She teaches us to discover our self-limiting beliefs and to reclaim our lives through regaining our own attention.  By unlearning old beliefs and eliminating energy-draining emotional drama, individuals can master living life to its fullest potential.

A key aspect of Michele’s work is the application of Toltec wisdom as explained by author don Miguel Ruiz in the best seller, The Four Agreements.  These principles (Be impeccable with your word, Don’t take anything personally, Don’t make assumptions, Always do your best) are simple to remember, but challenging to implement into daily life.  In Michele’s workshops, participants learn to integrate these life-elevating spiritual axioms through hands-on practical activities that form a framework for harmony in all relationships.  Clients benefit from this multi-faceted approach.  Not only do they have specific tools and skills, they develop a belief system and code of conduct that supports a life of personal freedom and happiness.

For a schedule of upcoming workshops and events, and to learn more about The Four Agreements and Life Coaching, see Michele’s website www.HumanPotentialUnlimited.com.

BARBARA HALE, M.A., Ph.D., CEC

Barbara Hale has an AB from Bryn Mawr College and an MA and PhD from New York University.  She is a Certified Empowerment Coach (CEC).  She completed her training at the Institute for Empowerment Coaching (IPEC).  She is a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

Barbara Hale has an extensive background in many aspects of medical practice.  As a result, she recognized the need for better communication between doctors and patients. Doctors can tell you what you need to do and what your goals and target should be, but they have neither the time to make sure you to do it nor the training to help you achieve and maintain new behaviors..  That’s where Barbara comes in.  She has devoted her coaching practice to helping her clients take charge of their health. Barbara helps you to create action plans based on your doctor’s recommendations.  She will help you to identify and overcome your barriers to success. She helps you to keep focused and motivated.  With Barbara as a life coach, you and your doctor are more likely to achieve successful outcomes.

IVY  J.  ALGAZY, CEC

For over twenty-five years, Ivy Algazy has been involved in both the educational and nonprofit worlds, beginning her career as a classroom teacher, progressing to the position of Director of Education of a large Long Island private school and eventually supervising one of Long Islands largest youth organizations as the Executive Director.  With a certificate in Fundraising and Development from the Support Center for Nonprofit Management, Ivy has expertise in this area of the nonprofit as well.
Trained in coaching at the Institute for Professional Empowerment Coaching (IPEC), Ivy received professional certification.  She is a registered member of the United Coaching Associates (UCA) as well as the International Coach Federation (ICF).

Drawing on the client’s life experiences, feelings and passions as a part of discovery and setting their own goals according to their personal agenda, Ivy’s Life Coaching clients move forward towards a future of satisfaction and balance in their lives.  Ivy’s diverse background provides her expertise in the following Coaching Niches:

Parent Coaching

Many times during her career, parents would approach Ivy, searching for help to solve their parenting issues.   Although she always felt what worked for her might or might not work for them, Ivy did know that raising her own children gave her deep insight on many helpful techniques and skills to parenting.  Between what she discovered at home and at the educational institutions where she worked, as well as her coach training, Ivy decided to focus her energy to develop skills to coach parents to better parenting.

Ivy’s journey as a parent has and still is spanning over 25 years.  Having children in a twelve-year span has given her a look through different generations, seeing different ways to approach parenting.  As a Parent Coach, Ivy has integrated these ideas and concepts into her coaching.

Clients benefit greatly from this approach, finding the coaching setting a non-judgmental, welcoming arena to discuss all aspects of parenting confidentially as well as other facets of the client’s life.

With the experience Ivy has gained through her years working in nonprofit organizations, she has faced diversity amongst constituents, their agendas and what is best for the organization.  Ivy has a clear plan on coaching nonprofit organizations to reach the true goal of the organization and helping the organization to continue on a route to reach those goals.
